About The Novello Theatre

Once called the Waldorf theatre and before that The Strand theatre, the Novello was built as a pair together with the Aldwych Theatre, each straddling the famous Waldorf Hotel. Designed by the prolific theatre architect W.G.R Sprague, the Novello seats just over 1000 people split over four levels: the stalls, dress circle, grand circle and upper circle.

Must see
Great show but does not need swearing.

Amazing show! Must see!
Stalls seat were very good, we were in the T stalls and we had an excellent view and could hear everything clearly. Plenty of staff around to help and advise. Seats were comfortable and the toilets inside the theatre were also very clean. Overall a great experience and can’t wait to go again! Amazing show with amazing actors!

Dynamic, fun and good music
The show itself was very good but: The music was really too loud at times you could not hear the words. We were upper circle B row and in the row below there were people who leaned on the railing, one had a scarf sort of hat which was quite high, and we could not see half the stage. We told them to stay sitting in their seats, even asked a member of staff to tell them but they DID NOT change anything. I think the Novello should tell people to stay in their seats, unless there is nobody behind. Such behaviour is not acceptable.
